Behind the bling-bling

There is nothing more relaxing to me than walking around the streets of my hometown with a camera and without any predefined commitment for a specific place to go or a specific photo I want to take.

Just walking around and observing the surroundings, enjoying the walk.

Macau is a 24/7 vibrant city full of ostentatious activities from the several gaming development surges since the city’s handover to China.

Most outsiders see this place as an amusement park for visitors looking for world class entertainment.

Yet they tend to forget that, behind all the sophistication of the multi-billion dollar properties, there is a real city with real people. A city established over 5 centuries ago with a rich diversity of cultural layers.

All photos above were taken with my Sony RX1Rii and its fixed 35mm f/2.0 lens.
