Down the memory lane: a short walk from 亞婆井 to 下環街

Back in the days when I lived in Penha hill, I used to ride my bicycle together with my mates around the neighbourhood, just hanging out and finding trouble to kill the time.

Frequently we would chill out at Lilau (亞婆井) and then go down to Rua da Praia do Manduco (下環街) through the narrow back alleys. In 下環街 we would buy what we thought were the best fish balls in town and enjoy it with lemon tea.

A couple of days ago I had the opportunity to revisit these places and recollect my memories. Incidentally, it happened sometime after I received the sad news that one of my mates from the ‘hood had passed away in Portugal.

Below the mementos of my visit.
