While putting together the material for my upcoming Fujifilm X-E3 review, I soon realised I didn’t have that many photos taken with this camera. This eventually resulted in a quick visit to the abandoned shipyards in Lai Chi Vun (荔枝碗), one of the few places in Macau not packed with crowds in this hectic CNY holiday season.
As ongoing discussions take place on what to do with Lai Chi Vun as a heritage site, I’m somehow concerned when something eventually happens, the Government with its goodwill will end up turning the shipyards into something clinical and theme park-esque by trying too hard to restore what was once authentic.
Let’s hope I’m wrong.
